Packer/Helper/Loader

Responsible for using their discretion to assist the driver in the proper and safe loading, unloading, placement and securing of household goods and other items being transported within the van by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Pads, protects, lifts, and carries furniture, appliances, and boxes safely.*
• Adheres to all government and company safety rules.*
• Packs fragile items safely and carefully.*
• Selects and loads packing material for each job.*
• Writes a carbon inventory and assets when needed in writing furniture inventory.*
• Ensures that safety and integrity of the materials to be moved and their placement in the vehicle to ensure the vehicle may be operated on the highway in a safe manner.*
• Maintains good customer relations.*
• Assists with minor disassembly and reassembly of furniture.*
• Reports to work and job sites on time.
• Maintains a professional attitude.
• Employees with a valid drivers license can be asked to driver company vehicles.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
